Miramichi is the largest city in Northern New Brunswick. It is composed of the amalgamated cities of Newcastle and Chatham in addition to numerous towns in the immediate area. Miramichi is also the name of a major river in the province. It drains into Miramichi Bay in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
