  1. I “won” a $250 gift certificate at Indigo at the Giller Bash and treated myself to a stack of ten (10!) CanLit books that I am practically salivating to start. Frustratingly, a stack of old interlibrary loan holds just came through, so I’m currently just starting Old Baggage by Lissa Evans.

Maybe I’ll indulge myself and save the CanLit for January – what a way to start the year!

  2. I was reading The Invisible Life of Ivan Isaenko but stopped halfway. I just read on Goodreads that the author was contacting someone who had written a poor review of it, insulting her, then he made a fake profile and continued. I’m glad I didn’t finish the book.

  3. Currently reading an older book from my collection – “Risk and Redemption: Surviving the Network News Wars” by Peter Kent

  4. Thanks for the chance! I just finished Room by Emma Donoghue. Fantastic read that I should have gotten to sooner!

  5. I’m currently reading “Before Green Gables” by Budge Wilson in preparation for the release of the book “Anne Before Marilia”

  6. I just received the the book All Together Now by Alan Doyle as a gift and I just started reading it today, such an entertaining storyteller!

  7. Currently reading Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man by Mary L. Trump

  8. I’m in the middle of “You Betrayed Me” by Lisa Jackson but I love all books by Lorne Oliver, especially “The Red Serge”, who was originally from the Maritimes but now lives in our also beautiful province – Saskatchewan!
