May’s “Mystery Date with a Book” Giveaway!

May’s “Mystery Date Book” is from Biblioasis!

What is the TMR “Win a Mystery Date With a Book” giveaway? How can one one join? First of all, TMR, in collaboration with some of Canada’s finest publishers, is giving away one current fiction title per month in 2024. We have 12 titles from three different publishers, so there will be variety in the available titles.

Mystery Date Book

The format of this giveaway is one where you won’t know the month’s title until you (the winner) receive it in the mail, hence the “mystery date”!

We can tell you that it will be a recent release, 2023 or 2024 and it will be fiction. A few other clues may be given over the month, such as the publisher, setting, subgenre, etc.

Book Details:

  • Publisher: Biblioasis
  • Anthology
  • The rest is to be revealed on social media

How to Join (and get a bonus entry)

It is easy to join the giveaway! It’s free to enter (one entry per person, please) and if you choose to donate a minimum of $5, you’ll get an extra chance to win that month’s book! However, a donation is not required.

To qualify, leave a comment in the monthly giveaway post. Tell us what book you’re reading, one you’ve just finished, your favourite book, or anything book-related! Doing so qualifies you for that month’s draw.

If You Win

The winner will be chosen using an online randomizer. We will then notify the winner, confirm the mailing address, and mail the book. We only ask that when you receive it, you could post a picture of it on social media and tag us.

  1. What I’m reading right this very minute as soon as I finish writing this post: Peter Carey’s “A Long Way From Home” and “Salka Valka” by Halldor Laxness. The former a novel set in 1950’s Australia about a couple who open a car dealership and enter a road race around the country and have to face up to their “treatment” of aboriginal peoples they encounter on the way. The Icelandic novel, which is taking me some time to get through, follows the misfortunes of a young woman basically stranded in a small town that offers no hope for a better life (but there is, the reviews promise, hope, I just haven’t gotten there yet).

    • Michael Cox, Congratulations! You’ve won the TMR May Mystery Date With a Book! Please contact us with where to mail your book. Once you receive it, please post the book and tag us!! Happy reading!!
