When I think about Pamela Anderson, a few things come to mind blonde; bombshell, big breasts, that red iconic Baywatch bathing suit, lifeguard and sex symbol. In this self written memoir, I see another side of Pamela. She’s a hands on mother, very family oriented, extremely well read, poetic, nature lover and romantic at heart.
Love, Pamela shares stories from her childhood right to present day. Not a typical written memoir where is just facts and information you’d find out about any celebrity after reading their Wikipedia profile. Pamela shares life has been full of all kinds of emotional aches and pains. She’s not afraid to be honest and admit that she is nowhere near perfect. This I respect so much. It shows that she has struggled just like every other woman trying to balance work and motherhood. She would always schedule her work around the boys’ school drop offs, baseball games and summer vacation. As a famous person, we would have assumed that Pamela would have had paid help like a nanny to raise her boys. Pamela is a rarity in Hollywood. Maybe this is because of her humble Canadian upbringing.
Pamela is a natural storyteller. Page after page I was drawn in more with her whimsical style of writing. It’s the kind of book you can’t put down and keeps you eager for more. If you’re in the mood for a book that has it all Love, Pamela is for you. I enjoyed reading about all of her adventures and experiences growing up poor on the west coast of Canada, Playboy, Baywatch, endless romantic relationships which usually meant marriage, the famous sex tape, her humanitarian help and of course being a solid mother to two boys.
PAMELA ANDERSON is an international icon whose work spans both entertainment and activism. Through the Pamela Anderson Foundation, she champions causes close to her heart, including ocean and rain forest conservation and the protection of vulnerable humans and animals. Above all else, being a mother to sons Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee has been Pamela’s priority and greatest source of pride.
