Emmie and the Fierce Dragon by Carrie Stanton

Book Blurb: An enormous Fierce Dragon is causing havoc in town. When little Emmie appears, confident that she can end the town’s troubles, the townspeople are doubtful. What can one small girl do?

Emmie and the Fierce Dragon by Carrie Stanton is a cute and fun story that would be a great addition to any preschooler’s personal library!

The townspeople were having problems with Fierce Dragon playing nasty tricks on them. Then a little girl, named Emmie, with a dimple on her chin and a sparkle in her eye, came to town claiming that she could tame the Fierce Dragon. The townspeople could not believe their eyes or ears that someone so small could accomplish such a feat.

Read this amazing story to see how the offer of friendship and love (with the help of some cake) could, in fact, achieve such a feat. Emmie and the Fierce Dragon would also make a fun read-aloud book, but prior to reading it to an audience, I would recommend practicing your hideous laugh.

A fun spin-off activity would be to grab a red blanket, and a picnic basket and have either an indoor or outdoor picnic, especially with some cake for dessert.
